Brigit Hampel – Sizzix Sales Representative,
Teacher and Paper Craft Enthusiast.
Halloween and Christmas Mini Flip Albums and more.
6x6” Mini flip album with loads of Sizzix die cut shapes
Two Classes, each 3 hours long.
Saturday Oct 24th, 2015
Price $45, each class, includes all materials: 6x6 paper pad, cardstock and loads of Sizzix die cuts.
Students are required to bring their basic tool kit which includes: paper trimmer, adhesives (tape runner, foam dimensionals, glue pen or Xyron Sticker Maker) and Distress ink and applicator. A craft mat (or old magazine) for inking on is also recommended.
*Note – This project uses a fair amount of adhesive as you will be adhering lots of patterned paper to the cardstock. I went through a whole tape runner. There are also some fine detailed shapes that requires a glue pen or Xyron Sticker Maker. I used a Xyron 150 for all the word die cuts. There may be some shapes that a larger Xyron machine would be helpful but not necessary.
Class #1 - Halloween Mini Flip Album with bonus cards and treat boxes
Class #2 Christmas Mini Flip Album with bonus cards and gift boxes.
These mini flip albums are super fun and easy to put together. They are great to showcase a special event whether it be Halloween, Christmas, birthdays, new baby, vacation... just about anything! They also make great gifts to give to grandparents, family and friends. The flip albums are also quick to put together using a 6x6 paper pad, some cardstock and some basic and themed die cut shapes to embellish with. They are addictive, once I made one I couldn't stop myself and kept making more. :-)
Each class kit comes with all the papers and die cuts you need to complete the album plus a few bonus projects. Participants will also get a detailed instruction sheet so that they can create more albums with papers and embellishments of their choosing.
In the first class, Halloween is our theme and participants will be able to create an album using Authentique's Moonlit collection and an abundance of Sizzix die cuts. There will be more than enough paper and themed die cuts to complete the album as well as a couple of cards and a treat box or two.
In the second class we will be turning our attention to Christmas. This time participants will create their album and cards using Authentique's Tidings collection. Again, there will be more than enough Sizzix die cut shapes to complete the albums and cards. The bonus projects for this class are gift boxes and bags.
Each class is 3 hours long and participants should complete a fair amount of their projects depending on the speed at which they create. Any part of the projects not completed during class time can easily be finished at home in a short amount of time. Participants are free to bring their cameras to take pictures of my many samples.
In order to complete as much of the projects as possible in our 3 hours together, most of the die cutting will be done for participants. However, there will be some time spent using the Sizzix BigShot with the Magnetic Platform and the Precision Base plate. Everyone will also have the oppertunity to emboss using some of the newest and past favourite Texture Impression folders and to deboss using Tim Holtz's Shadow Press folders and ink station.
