Great Weekend at the Pinery Antique Flea and Farmers Market

What a Mothers Day spent at the Pinery Antique Flea and Farmers Market!

So the Pinery Market is in full swing for the season and how excited are we that we get to sell our craft supplies there!  We have a place to call home.

We are excited to team up with the Pinedale Motel in Grand Bend to offer classes for kids and adults!  Coming soon!  Watch their website or mine to see when these classes will be held.  Summer will see opportunities for kids to come for a day of swimming, crafts and face painting.

It was a little chilly yesterday but we made the best of it.  I had amazing people around me selling their cool items too!  So to look at and see and such talent too!  My booth will be moving to the end of the orange row when you come looking for me!

Melissa my neighbour to the right sells Secret, I love this stuff the magnetic mud mask is fabulous!

She also had many knitted items from her daughter! WOW!  what a great talent!   You can find her here.

Melissa and I really bonded over lives that seem parallel!  I love meeting new and positive people.  My neighbours to the left had cute sassy onesies and socks!  And this amazingly cool t-shirt that is big,  You put the t-shirt on your son or daughter when they enter kindergarten with the Class of 20?? which ever year they graduate high school.  Each year on the fist day of school you take a picture of your child with this t-shirt on.  Hope that makes sense?  If not come check them out next weekend!

It's only a dollar per person to get in and such a fun and happy atmosphere!

Thanks to all who came out and the winner of this weeks draw was Renata!    Congratulations!!!  We will be contacting you for either pickup or delivery of your fabulous prize bag!!

Special Sizzix Class with Brigit! Out Sizzix Rep!! Yaaaa

Brigit Hampel – Sizzix Sales Representative,
Teacher and Paper Craft Enthusiast.

Halloween and Christmas Mini Flip Albums and more.
6x6” Mini flip album with loads of Sizzix die cut shapes

Two Classes, each 3 hours long.
Saturday Oct 24th, 2015
Price $45, each class, includes all materials: 6x6 paper pad, cardstock and loads of Sizzix die cuts.

Students are required to bring their basic tool kit which includes: paper trimmer, adhesives (tape runner, foam dimensionals, glue pen or Xyron Sticker Maker) and Distress ink and applicator. A craft mat (or old magazine) for inking on is also recommended.

*Note – This project uses a fair amount of adhesive as you will be adhering lots of patterned paper to the cardstock. I went through a whole tape runner. There are also some fine detailed shapes that requires a glue pen or Xyron Sticker Maker. I used a Xyron 150 for all the word die cuts. There may be some shapes that a larger Xyron machine would be helpful but not necessary.

Class #1 - Halloween Mini Flip Album with bonus cards and treat boxes

Class #2 Christmas Mini Flip Album with bonus cards and gift boxes.

Album description:

These mini flip albums are super fun and easy to put together. They are great to showcase a special event whether it be Halloween, Christmas, birthdays, new baby, vacation... just about anything! They also make great gifts to give to grandparents, family and friends. The flip albums are also quick to put together using a 6x6 paper pad, some cardstock and some basic and themed die cut shapes to embellish with. They are addictive, once I made one I couldn't stop myself and kept making more. :-)

Each class kit comes with all the papers and die cuts you need to complete the album plus a few bonus projects. Participants will also get a detailed instruction sheet so that they can create more albums with papers and embellishments of their choosing.

In the first class, Halloween is our theme and participants will be able to create an album using Authentique's Moonlit collection and an abundance of Sizzix die cuts. There will be more than enough paper and themed die cuts to complete the album as well as a couple of cards and a treat box or two.

In the second class we will be turning our attention to Christmas. This time participants will create their album and cards using Authentique's Tidings collection.  Again, there will be more than enough Sizzix die cut shapes to complete the albums and cards. The bonus projects for this class are gift boxes and bags.

Each class is 3 hours long and participants should complete a fair amount of their projects depending on the speed at which they create.  Any part of the projects not completed during class time can easily be finished at home in a short amount of time. Participants are free to bring their cameras to take pictures of my many samples.

In  order to complete as much of the projects as possible in our 3 hours together, most of the die cutting will be done for participants. However, there will be some time spent using the Sizzix BigShot with the Magnetic Platform and the Precision Base plate. Everyone will also have the oppertunity to emboss using some of the newest and past favourite Texture Impression folders and to deboss using Tim Holtz's Shadow Press folders and ink station.

Wacky Wednesday!

Have you all recovered from the Turkey Coma?  I have not!  As some of you know I have a chronic illness which at times makes life difficult!  And I pushed myself WAY WAY too hard but sometimes that is what you have to do to have a life!  Anyway as I lay in bed with my heating pad and tea I came up with a new idea.
Wacky Wednesday!

Now this can be something someone sent to me  or it can be something I made that did not come out quite right or it can just be cool .

Today for instance is a very cool video from Youtube.  This kid is awesome and I love Disney so this just struck a chord with me and I hope you enjoy it too!!

This kid is awesome  check it out and I hope you enjoy the first Wacky Wednesday!

Cute Tag Request

I recently attended a girls weekend with my best friend Tracy.  The whole weekend just scrapbooking and relaxing and having fun at the Oakwood Inn in Grand Bend Ontario.  So beautiful and the food was amazing!!  We met some fantastic ladies and made new friends while we were there.  I had made this tag and had a request to post how I did it so here is the tutorial for everyone to share!  Merry Christmas from Crafty Kat!
This is one of my favorite tags from last year.  I started with the large Scallop Circle from Sizzix and cut one using Whisper White Card stock cut at 4 1/2x 4 1/2.
Next I took a piece of Pool Party cut to 4x4 and ran it through the Big Shot with the polka dot embossing folders.  I tore four pieces of scrap Whisper White card stock and attached it to the bottom of the Pool Party layer.  Tear these pieces towards yourself so that you get a better torn edge look.
Next I took the Pool Party layer with the torn Whisper White pieces attached to it and ran it through the Big Shot using a Circle Bigz die. Attach this layer to the scallop circle layer.
Next I used a two way glue pen to add glue to the top of each of the torn layers and added dazzling diamonds to it.
The next step!  I used scrap Whisper White card stock and stamped 4 of the polka dot stamp from Pennant Parade stamp set from Stampin UP!  I stamped them in Wild Wasabi Ink and punched them out.  Then I stamped two of the Stamp that looks like garland on the tree also in Wild Wasabi ink and attached the "trees" to the right hand side of the tag.
To create the layered tree I folded each of the polk a dot stamped scallop shapes in half and glued the backs to one another and the last ones were glued directly to the tag.  I added a button to the top of the tree and a bit of ribbon to the top.  I also punched a hole and added bakers twine so that the tag could be used as an ornament after the gift was given.!  Any questions please feel free to contact me via
