Monster Mash Hop

Been a long long week this week but I finally got around to making a card for the hop!
Shirley Pumpkin has made this such a fun hop.  You can join us at anytime - just make something Halloween!!
Check out Shirley's Blog for all the details

On to this weeks card.
I have been playing around with making Rosettes or Lollies as I have seen them called and I am loving this!  Such a great detail to spice up your projects.

I started with Rich Razzelberry Card base and embossed it with the spider web for the Big Shot.  Then I sponged it with Whisper White Craft Ink.  Next I added my Rosette with button detail, frayed hemp in black and a cute little spider with funky eyes cut out from the cricut. Then I sprayed the whole card with Smooch Spritz ( the silver one cannot think of the name.
Next I stamped EEEK! from the Bingo Bits set and punched it out with a circle punch then sponged the edges with Rich Razzelberry and popped it up with Dimensional.

The inside of the card is Very Vanilla and I stamped the spider from the Bingo Bits set in Stazon Black and the saying from a retired set in Rich Razzleberry -- and then sponged the edge with Rich Razzleberry.

Hope you play along with us!  Enjoy the rest of your week.

Let it Snow! Just kidding!

Hope Everyone is enjoying their weekend - been working on some Christmas Card workshops and thought I would share a couple of cards that I came up with this weekend.

Snowman and friends.  I love how this turned out so clean and simple!

These cards are a new Technique embossing snowflakes into an embossing folder.  Smooch Spritz on one and the second one is plain but both are beautiful in person!

Big Shot and Bling!

This one is such a cool technique with sheer fabric and a heating tool!

Monster Mash Week 6

Brrrrrr!  It is a blustery day out there!  Feels like Fall today.  A sit by the fire and craft kind of day.  And its Monster Mash Monday too!
Head on over the Shirley Pumpkins Blog and check out the link to join us in all the fun!

I have been playing around with new techniques and card designs and it has been so much fun learning cool new ways to do things .  This week I used the waterfall design for my card this one is pretty fun!!!  I loved how it turned out and my son thought it was awesome too so there you have it!
I used Basic Black card stock for the base then used the cute Cat DSP from Frightful Sight!  I am loving this DSP  so many options.  Then I stamped 4 characters from Spooky Bingo Bits and embossed them with Tangerine Tango and Wild Wasabi.  I sponged the edges with the corresponding colours and layered on Basic Black.  I then used my Simply Scored to make score marks in a piece of  Wild Wasabi and placed each stamped image on the score lines.
I then stapled a piece of taffeta ribbon to the bottom of the Wild wasabi to show the receiver where to pull the card for the waterfall action!
Then I used Stazon Black to stamp sayings to correspond with each layer of waterfall.  The whole waterfall was secured with a piece of Basic Black and secured with Glimmer Brads.

I created a ribbon by wrapping a Square Fire Rhinestone Brad to it to create a bow and secured it with mini glue dots.
I love how it turned out!  Oh and of course,  I added dazzling details to the cats on the DSP to add a little bling collar to them!
Hope you enjoy!

Monster Mash Monday! Week 5

Better late than never!   Been a busy week for me so I am a little late with a Monday Post but as the hop goes all week I guess I can forgive myself this time!
Check out Shirley's Blog to see the rules to join this fun hop!

I know this will be unusual but I my main stamped image is not from Stampin' up this week.  But I had to use it because it was so darn cute!
I used the emboss resist technique on a torn piece of whisper white I used Sahara Sand to sponge the edges and the back ground.  Then I stamped the Witch image with Old Olive.  I then used the saying from Wicked Cool in Black.  Added three glimmer brads for some bling.   The inside whisper white is sponged on the edges with Sahara Sand too and then used a swirly witch hat in Old olive.
The main card base is Cajun Craze and I tore the edge so that you could see the DSP peeking through.  I also embossed the webs from Wicked cool in black on the front!   Hope you enjoy!

Monster Mash Mondays Blog Hop! Week 4!

Happy Labour Day!  And Happy Monster Mash Monday!
I decided to change things up a bit and work on my Halloween Layouts for this year.
Thanks again to Shirley for hosting this fun fun Blog Hop!
Check out Shirleys blog here

So here is the page I came up with this week!
I started out with a 12x12 piece of Basic Gray CS.  I then used the Halloween Hangups wheel with Basic Black ink to create the boarder at the top of the page.  Then I cut up Rhinestone Mesh to create the sparkly webs.  Next I tore a piece of the bat in a web paper from the Frightful Sights DSP and antiqued it with Early Espresso and a sponge.
Next I used Frightful Sights and the Perfect Pennants for the big shot to create the two embellishments.  I wove the Basic Black 1/8inch taffeta ribbon through the holes.  Then I I used the spider and stamped it on Lucky Limeaide Card Stock and popped it up in the center after using the Stamping up tools to rough up the edges of the CS.  The other embellishment was created with Tangerine Tango and I used the EeK!  Stamp from Spooky Bingo Bits.
Next I stamped some cute ghosts from Bingo Bits onto the background with Whisper White Craft Ink.  I used Tangerine Tango and Basic Black to create the mat.  I crumpled up the Tangerine Tango and used the direct to paper technique on the Tangerine Tango to make it look aged.  I tore some edges off and used the stampin up tool to rough up the edges.  Then I used Sans Serif and Frightful Sights DSP to create the saying - I then crumpled and roughed the edges and applied to paper --  My Son loves the layout now he just has to find a costume!!  Love Love love Halloween!

Hope you enjoy and please feel free to join in you can find all the info on Shirleys blog!
