It has not been a great week so far - two family friends died this week - so much sadness and we are only anticipating more to come with my sister-in-law as well.
So here we have a few sympathy cards that are never much fun to make but are needed all the same.
Just some shots of the sunset after a very rainy couple of days.
This one is the hostess set Because I care! I love this set you can use it for almost everything and its just so pretty. I also used the big shot and vintage wallpaper folder as well as the scallop circle die for the accent piece. Rich Razzelberry and Old Olive where the inks and Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White Card stock were also used and Whisper White Organza Ribbon.
The Next two are the same only different. I pulled out an oldie but a goody Trendy Trees and used the wallpaper folder on one and the lattice folder on the other. Cajun Craze and Old Olive were the Card stock colours on this one and I used the new stamp set for the large decorative label punch. I sponged old olive on the tree and used soft suede markers for the trunk.
I do think I love this one the best though! I used Elements of style for this and did a cool technique with markers and huffing for the flower stamp -- Love it! I ran the stamped image through the lattice work folder in the big shot and added dazzling diamonds and a satin bow. I then layered on certainly celery and basic black with the Rich Razzelberry Card base.
Off to Mr. Brian Voisey's funeral tomorrow. What a great man and teacher he was! And his family is so very special as well, all fabulous people. My daughter Presley had his son Mike for a teacher at St Christopher's and he remains one of her favorite people. Our thoughts are with the families tonight during this very sad time.
Then Mr. James Wetlauffer is next - I remember so many great times with their family and travel hockey with my brother. Fun people and great friends. So sad to see him go so quickly.
